Steps to take in preparing to unstep your mast

  1. Remove all sails
  2. Remove boom
  3. Remove tape from all turnbuckles
  4. Straighten all cotter pins (DO NOT REMOVE)
  5. Make sure all turnbuckles turn freely - one complete turn
  6. Remove mast boot
  7. Disconnect all electrical fittings at deck level and at mast step

NOTE: DO NOT DISCONNECT STANDING RIGGING
