Svendsen's Boat Works: Location & Directions

Svendsen's Boat Works is located in the Alameda Marina on the estuary which divides Oakland from Alameda.

Once inside the Estuary, continue heading East past the following major landmarks:

Port of Oakland
(on your LEFT)

Jack London Square
(on your LEFT)

Marina Village
(on your RIGHT)

Government Island
(on your LEFT)

When you reach a point on the Estuary adjacent to the Eastern tip of Government Island, the Alameda Marina and Svendsen's will be on your right. For travelift haulouts, in-the-water work, or to reach our mast hoist, turn right into the Alameda Marina just before the covered berths. Continue to end of the channel and dock in any guest slip painted yellow.

If you are coming to Svendsen's for a haulout on our Elevator platform, turn right into the Alameda Marina one channel before the covered berths, where you will see the elevator platform directly ahead. Once docked, our yard office is located up the gangway from our guest slips in a white commercial office.
